and applications. She is a highly experienced Education and Socio-Economic
Policy Research Consultant with excellent analytical, conceptual and strategic
planning skills and possess good knowledge of the use of different statistical
tools for Data Analysis and Interpretation
She has organized Community Sensitization
and Advocacy, Focus Group Discussions (FGD), Key Informant Interviews (KII) and
Participatory Rural Appraisals (PRA); to obtain information through
participatory approach and share lessons learned among various stakeholders for
some MDGs Poverty Alleviation Programmes in Nigeria.
She has worked with the
Rivers State Ministry of Education on the project and study on “Reforming the
Education Sector in Rivers State”. She has also worked as a team member on
various World Bank Assisted Projects.
JOY is very passionate about
Education (especially with regards to using IT to enhance learning); Women,
Children and their Early Childhood Care & Development; Poverty Reduction Initiatives
and Research. She is committed to Education for All Goals {EFA} and consumed
with passion to reduce to the barest minimum the phenomena of Out-of-School Children
in Africa.
To this end, she has videos of her visits to schools in Nigeria
where she inspires young children especially girls, to embrace education and
take their studies seriously; driven by this quote from Nelson Mandela that “Education is the greatest tool with which we can
change the World”. She is a true agent of change and institutional reform in
the Education sector, giving young adults, women and children a voice. She
serves as the Managing Partner at Seismic Consult Limited and leads the development
and management of the company's global portfolio of projects and partnerships.
